Out of the Blue SCF joined Katie Dinan's string in 2024, after having been bred and started at Spy Coast Farm in Lexington, Ky., under the guidance of Shane Sweetnam (IRL). The pair jumped up to the CSI5* level before Dinan acquired the mare in early 2024. The pair began consistently competing at the CSI5* level together later that year, representing the U.S. Jumping Team in St. Gallen and Aachen. 

The duo qualified for their first FEI Jumping World Cup Final together in 2025, where they made an impressive showing across the multi-day individual championship, ultimately finishing in eighth overall, but jumping two stellar clear rounds on the final day of competition.

The pair notched their best finish to date in a World Cup Final this past spring in Ft. Worth, Texas, where they finished third on the podium overall. They were named to the U.S. Jumping Team Short List for the 2026 FEI Jumping World Championships and represented the team in St. Gallen, as well as Rotterdam, where they helped the team finish second in team competition before earning a top ten finish in the Grand Prix.
