Lexington, Ky. – US Equestrian is seeking an individual to serve as chef d’equipe for the 2027 FEI Vaulting World Championship for Juniors and Young Vaulters set to take place in Verolanuova, Italy, on August 2-8, 2027.
The chef d'equipe plays a central role in supporting the U.S. Vaulting Team throughout the championship, from early preparation through the final day of competition.
Responsibilities include:

Attending chefs d'equipe meetings and serving as the liaison with the technical delegate, ground jury, and organizing committee.

Working closely with the Team Leader and Team Veterinarian, both during the championship and in preparation for it.

Determining competition strategy for U.S. athletes in coordination with athletes and their personal coaches.

Supporting athletes at the championship and throughout preparations and helping foster a cohesive team atmosphere.

Being available for team support and championship preparation for the full duration of the contract.

Managing and overseeing all athletes, grooms, support staff, personal coaches, owners, and parents during the championship.

Ensuring all accredited individuals follow FEI rules.

Assisting with the delivery of clean and safe sport, for both equine and human athletes.

Ensuring an appropriate individual accompanies any horse or athlete called for medication control.

Acting as the team's point of contact in the event of an incident requiring management.
The successful applicant will be required to pass a background check and remain current with USEF Safe Sport Training requirements.
