When I moved to Laredo, Texas, 20 years ago, I was introduced to and fell in love with the Spanish horse. I soon purchased my first Azteca and the rest is history. I have been involved with the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association for many years, serving on the Board of Directors for four years between 2020 and 2024 and have shown in many local, regional, and national breed competitions. My husband and I attend many USEF competitions where we also showcase our horses in both traditional and western dressage. In addition to USEF and IALHA, I hold memberships with WDAA, APHA, and PtHA.
I currently serve on the Board of Directors for both the South Texas Pinto Club and the Pinto Horse Association, where I also serve as a field representative and a member of the show committee. I love representing our Andalusian crosses in the pleasure horse division where they have won many local and world championships.
When I cannot be in the barn, arena, or on the road with my horses, you can find me in my office where I serve as the Chief Medical Examiner of Webb County, a position I have held for almost 20 years. I love football, rodeo, and the Texas Longhorns!
