Pam is a Grade IV para dressage rider who competes in able-bodied classes. Although born in New York City, horses were always her passion. She joined the Girl Scouts (and stayed a Girl Scout through high school) just so she could ride, eventually buying her first horse after her third child was born, at the age of 36. All three of her daughters competed, as well.

Pam was eventually introduced to para dressage. The use of specialized equipment leveled the playing field, allowing her to earn her bronze medal, along with adult amateur and para dressage national championships titles. She competed in selection trials for the Rio Olympics and World Equestrian Games. Over the past 10 years, she served on the Governance, the Human and Equine Safety and Welfare, and the Competition Management committees.

Pam continues to use her special riding aids in everything from dressage to foxhunting (by scent only). Along with her two FEI dressage partners, she live an “all horses, all the time” lifestyle in Aiken, S.C. It’s almost perfect, except for the humidity!
